Looking through his old FB posts before I started there, Mighty No 9 was his entire identity for like a year. He apparently thought it was going to create some retro-style revolution that the game industry was going to capitalize on. After came out, and it sunk in how bad it was, he didn't take it well. I was talking to him about the game one day, and he just casually mentioned "I was already punching myself in the head and biting myself in the bathroom, but this game just made it happen even more". I just awkwardly said "well that's not good", and just kind of trailed off into trying another conversation, and then walked away. --- ...I think I'm done here... |
